The Gulf Seafood Gala will feature a silent auction! Generous local businesses and talented artists have donated their services and artwork to be auctioned. Take home a one of a kind piece of art, learn a new skill, or go on a new adventure all while helping a good cause. The auction will include the following:
"One on One" Encaustic Painting Workshop with Artist Julie Snidle
A private one-day encaustics workshop at Julie's studio at Fairhope. Date TBD.
"Date Night" Pottery Wheel Class for 2 with Professional Pottery Instructor LeaAyn Shurley
A two-person pottery wheel class with LeaAyn Shurley at her studio in Mobile. Date TBD.
"Butterfly" by Artist Mary "Ching" Walters
Original 5x7 watercolor matted and framed in gold-toned wood frame to 14x16.
Gala proceeds will be used to make modifications to DIHAC's Art Studio building to make it accessible, including construction of an accessibility ramp. This is a threshold project for DIHAC to move forward with its art classes for adults with disabilities and senior citizens through the "Dauphin Island Art for All" collaborative with Mobile Arts Council, Full Life Ahead Foundation, and other entities.
